Flowers @ Hakgala
Hakgala Botanical Garden is one of the four botanical gardens in Sri Lanka. It was established in 1861 for the purpose of experimentation and promotion of Cinchona cultivation in Sri Lanka. Lime Butterfly- (Papilio demoleus)
- Prefers hot hours, at that time flight is very fast and straight.
- Visit scrub lands and flies among bushes.
- Feeds on wet soil, mud patches.
- Sometimes join with migration.
- Eggs are laid singly on young shoots.
Larva resembles a bird dropping in early in-stars.
